Q3 2026

Active build · ships next

  • Spec-compliance checker

    In build

Parses the Caderno de Encargos (CE/spec) — PDF and scanned, via OCR — and flags clauses with no matching BoQ line, and BoQ lines with no clause behind them. Scope is presence and absence, not semantic judgement: it tells you what to look at, it does not decide compliance for you.

  • Multi-user concurrent editing

    In build

Optimistic concurrency: everyone keeps working, and if two people touch the same row you are told before your change lands instead of silently losing one of them. Covers shared data too — catalogues, parametric rule bases — where a collision affects every project at once, not just one. Deliberately not pessimistic locking: locks that block a colleague get worked around, and then protect nothing.

  • Multi-currency estimating

    In build

Estimate in one currency and present in another, at a rate you set and that is stored with the bid — so a quote reads the same in six months as the day it was sent. An ECB reference rate is offered as a convenience, never silently applied. Currency survives Excel import and export.

  • Cycle detection on composition trees

    In build

Composition A → B → A loops are rejected at the API layer by a structural invariant, not by a checker that runs afterwards. Remaining work is the same guard on the rename path.

  • Audio transcription minute gating

    Shipped ✓

    Tier-based monthly counter for Whisper-transcribed audio hours (2 h Starter / 20 h Pro / unlimited Enterprise). Shipped via migrations 062/072 + reunioes.py — gating now enforced live.

  • In-app upgrade modal (HTTP 402 handler)

    Shipped ✓

When a Free / Starter user hits a tier limit, a soft modal explains the limit and links to /pricing/?from=<limit_key>. Shipped via PlanLimitModal.jsx + api.js dispatch — live in product.

Q4 2026

Commitment window · feature-complete

  • Conversational estimation (text → BoQ)

    In design

Describe a project in natural language ("kitchen reno, 12 m², LED ceiling, 4 sockets, induction hob") and get a BoQ draft. Tool calls hit your historical bids + your supplier prices.

  • Bid-vs-actual closed loop

    Planned

Once a job is finished, captured actual cost is compared with the original estimate; the per-tenant model learns where it under- or over-estimated and adjusts coefficients for the next bid of similar profile.

  • Drawing-vs-spec discrepancy detection

    In design

Cross-references block detection in the drawings against the spec / CE to flag what the drawings show but the BoQ omits, and the reverse. The GPU vision foundation this rests on is being built now; the comparison logic itself is Q4 work.

  • Drawing-diff → BoQ delta

    In design

Drag in v2 of a drawing — bidyou.ai detects "+12 luminaires on floor 3 → +€340" and updates the BoQ atomically. Hash-based drawing identity is already in place; UI + delta calculation in design.

  • Companion items knowledge graph

    Planned

"Cable X appears with junction box Y in 87% of past bids → suggest Y when X is added." Catches the items a tired estimator forgets at 11 p.m. before bid deadline.

  • Parametric assemblies (DSL)

    In build

    "1 light-point = 8 m cable + 1 box + 1 switch + 0.3 h labour." Define once; BoM generated from parameters at design time. Modulaquadro factory-workflow paramétrica is the lead-customer pilot.

  • Multi-trade architecture

    Planned

Replaces hardcoded trade boundaries with explicit `is_activity + category` flags. Unblocks civil / HVAC / plumbing beyond the current electrical default.

  • Procurement timing optimiser

    In design

"Buy in week N vs week N+8 saves €X with confidence Y%." Combines historical prices with project schedule.

  • SSO / SAML / OIDC

    Planned

Pro and Enterprise tiers — Okta, Azure AD, Google Workspace. SCIM user provisioning on Enterprise.

  • Custom-branded report templates

    In design

Pro tier upload your logo + header + footer per-tenant. Already in place via watermark removal; bespoke template designer in design.

H1 2027

Adjacent expansions

  • Alphanumeric BoQ codes

    Planned

`E.01.001`, `C.05.012` aligned with DIN 276 (DE), NRM (UK), OmniClass / CSI MasterFormat (US) per market. Migration path from current numeric codes preserves historical bid linkage.

  • EU language rollout — DE / FR / ES

    Planned

Full i18n catalogue extension after PT-PT lands (Phase 1, pending Sotecno-Gaio sign-off). DE first (largest EU construction market), then FR, then ES. In-app domain terminology (orçamento → estimate → Kostenvoranschlag) stays per-locale.

  • Annotated drawing exports — polished UI

    In design

Raw block detection works today; the customer-facing rendered overlay (DWG / PDF with highlighted detected items) gets a proper UI in H1.

  • Webhook events — outbound

    Planned

Pro + Enterprise tiers receive HTTP webhooks on project events (bid version created, line item edited, supplier reply matched). Integrate with Zapier / Make / n8n / your own automation.

H2 2027+

Beyond the immediate horizon

  • Equipment depreciation calculator

    Planned

Compute internal cost-per-hour for owned heavy plant: acquisition + depreciation + fuel + operator. Unlocks proper civil-construction estimating where heavy equipment hours dominate cost.

  • Procore export adapter

    Planned

Push bidyou.ai estimates directly into Procore for tenants on the Procore platform. Not affiliated with Procore; adapter built against their public API.

  • ISO 27001 certification

    Planned

Full ISMS audit including physical site. We commit to it once revenue justifies the audit cost; the scope is broader because we own the data centre.

  • SOC 2 Type II

    Planned

Gated to the US-customer pipeline. The B2B contractor side targets EU first; SOC 2 is pursued only when a serious US-customer book justifies the audit cost.

How we treat this roadmap

PRINCIPLE 01

No vapourware

Items only appear here if we have at least a design sketch and a clear technical path. Items that don\'t survive design get removed from the public roadmap — we don\'t leave them in to look ambitious.

PRINCIPLE 02

Quarters slip, never quarters expand

If Q4 2026 is heavy, an item gets bumped to H1 2027. We don\'t pack the same quarter denser to pretend we caught up. Honest scoping beats heroic shipping.

PRINCIPLE 03

Customer priorities re-order the queue

A founding-customer ask from a paying tenant moves an item forward if it doesn\'t break the larger plan. Email roadmap@bidyou.ai with your context — we\'ll tell you when you\'re likely to see it shipped.

PRINCIPLE 04

Shipped > promised

Anything we say will ship in Q3 2026 lives at the top of /changelog/ once it does. If we miss a quarter, we say so in the changelog — no quiet date changes here.
